The box

Inside a box, Homer hides all his fears.
As a child, from time to time, he would open the box
and let one of the fears come out.
He stood with bravery against it and fought it.

Every time he won, the fear was gone

and it never came back.

So the box was never full.

The years passed.

Homer grew up.

By time he stopped fighting.

He got used to living with his fears.

He got used to fearing to live.

Until the box over-brimmed.

The monologue of a puppet and his last ordinary day.
